Today, the first snow fell where I am.
For a moment, the world turned silver,
and a pale light seemed to rest briefly on everything alive.

this small variation felt closer to a silver grain than to the radiance of gold.
A light might be closer to the tenderness of a person standing on the earth.
Like silver moonlight, the slight ripples of a night lake, or the soft sheen of silver hair...
